VET and Industry Recognised Qualifications

The objective of school based VET programs is to provide students with learning pathways, vocational perspective, employability skills, enterprise education, career education, community and work based learning.

School based VET programs are successful because of the synergy generated by partnerships with business, industry exposure, and real world experience for students.

Providing students with the opportunity to obtain globally recognised, industry based certifications strengthens that connection:-

  1. Certification compliments VET programs and Nationally Recognised Training courses.
  2. Students can add globally recognised industry qualifications to their resume
  3. Certified students have increased levels of competence and confidence
  4. Students can differentiate themselves in a highly competitive job market
  5. Students have the opportunity to assess their skill sets against globally benchmarked standards.
  6. Certification acknowledges accomplishment and provides a tangible evidence of achievement and excellence.
  7. Certification is a meaningful way to provide recognition and reward to staff and students.
  8. Students can reference their transcripts anytime anywhere via the internet and provide positive proof to prospective employers that they can do the job.
  9. Certification provides a meaningful validation of learning outcomes.
  10. Certification adds credibility and recognition to the school, staff and students.

Remember that students don't have to wait until they reach senior years to compete these industry certifications - they can achieve these milestones as soon as they are competent in the application they are being assessed in. Students could be well prepared and even be a step ahead as they approach the stress and intensity of their senior years if they start early enough.

Did you know you can offer your students both nationally and internationally recognised qualifications and earn your Microsoft Certified Trainer status all at the same time.
