In 2009 we we are once again searching Australia for the students with the best Microsoft Word and Excel skills.

Countries all around the world are hosting local competitions to determine Country Champions.

In July of 2009, each country's champions will travel to the World Championships in Hawaii, USA to compete to become the 2009 Microsoft Office Specialist World Champions.

In 2006 we saw Tristam Horn, a Charles Sturt University student from Kingscliff in Northern New South Wales take out the 2006 World Champion for Microsoft Excel. Tristam was presented with his trophy and more than $5500 worth of prizes at a Gala Event held at the Disney World in Orlando, Florida, USA in August 2006. The prize package includes a trophy, Dell laptop computer, Digital Camera, a Microsoft 360 game system and more.
